Mairi Stone produces ceramics which are designed to fill a unique space in your life and in your home. Everything is individually designed and hand built. Whether it is a studio piece or a private commission, all of Mairi’s work is designed to reflect the kaleidoscopic variety of nature’s organic forms and structures.

Realised in stoneware, earthenware and paper-clay, with mostly earthenware glazes, and using her own unique sculpting techniques; the glorious, sinuous, superbly tactile objects which Mairi creates will charm and delight you, and remind you of just how beautiful and inspirational nature can be.

“A life of travelling, encountering different cultures, being amidst nature, and finding glory in its beauty and endless variety, fired my imagination and fuelled my creativity. When I landed finally in West Cork I was inspired by the uniqueness of its light and the natural, ever-changing beauty of the land and the sea and the sky above us. In nature no two things are ever identical. With clay I have found a wonderful way to express this"
